Great Food with An Interesting Flair!
5Church is just one of those Charleston landmark establishments that you have to check out if you have the chance – especially for brunch. Located in a former church on Market St in downtown Charleston, the food, drinks, and atmosphere are second to none when it comes to a one of a kind brunch location (suitable for kids too!). As you can see from our images, the atmosphere is a mix of college, post-college, locals, tourists & families all looking to either eat off a hangover or experience a fantastic culinary creation from the team at 5Church. The ceiling, though a church, has The Art of War scrawled across it with an interesting mural of Abraham Lincoln to boot in the back.
Momma and I kicked things off with a fantastic Mimosa flight that paired well with the house-made bennett’s that our daughters absolutely loved! We then moved on to traditional breakfast flair. If we get the chance, we are going to have a portion of our site devoted strictly to ranking biscuits and grits. Both ranked extremely high on the list for these Yankees!
We highly recommend checking out 5Church and making a reservation through OpenTable to ensure you can get past the crowd! Its a heck of a way to start Second Sunday for sure!
